Introduction

My name is James Richardson, Owner/Operator of JAYKIM Enterprises; welcome to our Website.

JAYKIM Enterprises is a Sole Trader business, that is based in Gisborne, Victoria, at the base of the beautiful Macedon Ranges.  

 

We may be very small, but we have many happy customers who use our services throughout the State and we know that when a customer is in need of a solution to their mechanical, hydraulic or electrical problem, the last thing they want to hear is, “It can’t be done.”, “We can’t help you.” or the most annoying, “Sorry, we’re not interested.”

We started this business in 2009 because we were tired of hearing people constantly complaining that nobody could solve their problem, or help them find a solution.  

 

Our opinion is that it is possible to fix anything; it is only a matter of working out how to do it, how quickly it can be done and whether it is viable.  That is what you, the client, is interested in, not; “I can’t”.

My personal experience over the past 40 years has been mainly in Mining and Construction, Extractive industries and Material handling, which has contributed to a relatively good understanding of the way things work and how to fix them.  This knowledge extends to my passion for Motorcycling, so I am always happy to help with particularly, pre-injection era motorcycles, the knowledge of which, seems to be more and more scarce, these days.

 

Our Network

Although JAYKIM Enterprises was only established in 2009, we have experience in various fields of mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair and service, thanks also, to an extensive network of experts in many fields who have supported us the past four decades.​  Those people come from various fields such as; manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, electronics, Engine rebuilding, agricultural equipment and transmission systems; so there is not much we can not help you with.
 

Improvisation

Part of what we can do at JAYKIM enterprises, in order to keep our Customer’s wheels turning, is when necessary... improvise.  The consequence of many years working out in the middle of nowhere, with only what you have with you and no help in sight; not to mention, no mobile phones back in the "olden days".  Whatever is necessary to get you going, we will do, endeavouring of course, to do this in such a way as not to compromise the safety, performance or reliability of your equipment.

An example of more common improvisation is to use after-market parts.  Though this is common practice amongst many similar businesses, we at JAYKIM enterprises will always attempt to use original parts if readily available before first seeking approval to use After-market, replacement parts.  In some cases, even repairing or re-manufacturing those parts.

Customer first
When you call us, our primary concern is to keep you moving, because you can’t make a living if your equipment isn’t working.  This is why we have adopted the attitude that anything is possible and if we are not equipped to tend to your needs, we will know who can within our network.

​

We can also assist with Fleet management and have a genuine interest in helping the customer with the ever increasing issue of O.H. and S. and as part of the service we provide; any safety concerns witch might become apparent, whilst performing that service, will be brought to your attention, so that you may take the appropriate action.

At JAYKIM enterprises, we also believe in supporting the community in which we live and will always endeavour to help local businesses first, before sourcing parts or services elsewhere.  In this way, we can develop a friendly and trusting relationship with all of our customers who, in turn, help us to grow our business.
